For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be known for my art, design, and creativity. For the past five years I have struggled to get through school while working  as a server. This past spring I was finishing another semester at school looking forward to enjoying my summer. While grinding in the middle of finals I finally felt the effects of this dwindling economy we know all to well in Michigan, I arrived to work like any other day but only to find out my 2 plus years of employment was ending. My education has always been priority in my life since I made the commitment to pursue my DREAMS. The dedication I had for my education created difficult sacrifices in scheduling for work and making money to support myself. This news had horrible timing and really weighed on my mind while trying to complete my junior year.

I instantly decided that I would use this season in my life as a rallying point to focus more on my career even if it meant making less money and adjusting my lifestyle…
