As my time in RI winds down at Hasbro I can’t help but be anxious to return to Detroit just in time for Christmas. Nothing beats home I love Detroit! I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the east coast. Hasbro has been a fabulous opportunity to experiment creatively. I have been propelled forward with higher hopes of where  product design can take you . As I prepare to return to Detroit in less than a month I am  focused on what is important more than ever. Relocating for 4 months to a new state, new job and new living situation really sparks a barrage of questions concerning what matters what doesn’t and what’s next. I am proud to say that AnymileClothing.com has not skipped a beat since I left Detroit. Thanks to a great business partner holding it down in the home town as we communicate and collaborate during this unexpected temporary relocation and wonderful opportunity. Anymile has always been firmly grounded in the betterment of Metro Detroit and the people of Michigan which has not changed or left my mind. Creativity can be a catalyst to envoke change. I stand firm in the belief that Design with purpose is a powerful mechanism to inspire others of what is possible. I am leaving the east coast with a surplus of inspiration that I plan to invigorate  Detroit friends, family and those I love back home with. This may be all very philosophical and deep which is not  my style or intention especially within a blog post but it is almost impossible to explain the transformation and renewing of my mind and spirit since I set out on this adventure in early September. Coming home is bittersweet in the since that I would love stay making toys!…but there is something else in store for the future and I may not know exactly what that is right now but I have an inkling it leads back to where it all started.Detroit. I exit one area of life to begin another and still question what that purpose really is but feel I have forged a new piece to the puzzle that is life.
